What we do

Uzima Charity Foundation has been established to provide provision in areas such as educational scholarships to orphans and the most vulnerable children in Uganda.  The charity includes providing tuition, scholastic materials, food, medication and sanitary needs for all of the children. Without such scholarships, it would not be possible for the Orphans in our community to attend school. The students literally have nothing, so.

  1. We actively recruit the best volunteers we can find to share their skills and expertise with our needy world and are here to link volunteers with such opportunities. What is it that you would like to offer to the world? Are you a fundraiser, financier, teacher, farmer, medical worker, social worker, librarian, games and sports coach, chaplain, business owner, etc.? We would love to help you explore your calling to serve these, the least of Jesus’ brethren. Please email us at (info@uzimacharityfoundation.org) or message us at (+256752695950) and we will get you plugged into serving this community.
  2. Our goal is to establish children’s homes so the children can be cared for in an environment that is better suited for learning and worship. The vast majority of the orphans live with their guardians; some of them are very vulnerable. They have lost both of their parents and no close relatives have the means to care for them. For that reason we are in the process of establishing a home where they are able to have their physical, mental, and spiritual needs met and their gifts and talents recognized and nurtured.
  3. Uzima Charity Foundation endeavors to build schools for vulnerable children. If building a school is not practical, we will fund and support the orphans’ education at any of a number of partner schools that are in our network of associates.

We do provide medical services at no cost. Although the government of Uganda provides free medical services at government run health centers, people who live in less populated rural areas of the country have difficulty getting access and most of the affected children live in these areas. To help bring the needed care to those areas, we do medical camps in those communities to help the children live healthy and happy. We also have plans to build small medical centers in these communities of need as resources to do so become available.
